This past summer, I wanted my a/c to come on but it wouldn't. So I took it to a mechanic and realized it needed free-on. Well, I turned my a/c after they added the free-on, and it overheated. It kept overheating even without the a/c and I was later informed that the radiator fan wasn't coming on. They put a relay on it vs finding the real problem. I wanted to know, is this bad? Just watch the fan when idling in the driveway every once in a while, it should come on and go off as the engine heats up and cools off.
